Talkin' 'Bout the 4th Generation!

After Brynne moved out, Sophie, Isabella, and Gwendolyn all moved out of their childhood homes as well.

Gwendolyn married a man she met during her teenage years, Andrew Martin. His wife had passed away unexpectedly, leaving him with a son, Jacob Martin.

They moved into the old caretaker's house on the farm. It was left to her in her father, Leod's will (as the entire farm was left to his wife, her mother, Lydia). Leod passed away just before Gwen got married.

Andrew had very little money, so unfortunately, the upkeep of the caretaker's house was more than they could afford. They finally sold the house to buy a new one that was a little larger but in better shape.

At the same time, Gwendolyn's mother, Lydia, decided to tear down the old farmhouse, sell anything she could salvage, and build a new home for Elizabeth, who always showed a knack and a passion for farming and gardening. The house would last for years, and serve as a secure home for Elizabeth's future family of her own. The middle child, Alba, had her heart set on moving away from the farm and finding someone to marry. Gwendolyn was very much settled in her new home. So Lydia knew the other two girls wouldn't mind if Elizabeth inherited the farm.

Gwendolyn and Andrew soon gave birth to a daughter, Elise Martin.

Lydia wished she could have shared the joys of being a grandparent with Leod.
