Patrick and Elise

Elizabeth's husband Patrick took quite an interest in Elise. She was a young woman, very bright, and she was a wonderful "second mother" to the boys.

Unfortunately for his wife Elizabeth, he quickly fell in love with Elise. They had a very brief affair, and Elise became pregnant. What started as an innocent crush had the potential to turn into a town scandal.

Eventually Patrick told Elizabeth about the affair, but before anyone could find out about the baby, Elise left. Elizabeth wanted to take back all the money she ever paid Elise for helping raise the boys, but ultimately decided that Patrick, being the more mature adult, was more at fault than Elise and let her keep the money.

With everything she had earned and her own money she received when she moved out of her parents' house, she had a small cottage built in the outskirts of Riverblossom Hills. When her half-brother, Jacob, found out where she was living, he went to visit her. He was heartbroken to find her 7-months pregnant with no one to help her around the house. He moved in with her and stayed with her until she was doing well on her own with a brand new daughter- Genevieve Martin.
